Mother outraged after North Carolina city take down sign honoring her son who died in trying to pull over suspected drunk driver

0

A North Carolina city should be ashamed of itself after holding a meeting to discuss removing the street sign honoring a Black Edgecombe sheriff’s deputy who was killed in the line of duty while attempting to pull over a suspected drunk driver in between Tarboro and Pinetops, North Carolina.

On the night of March 11, 2018, Deputy David Manning put his life on the line as he tried to stop a suspected drunk driver and was killed in a crash. His mother, Dashina, told WITN News that when the city put up a street sign near his hometown of Pinetops with her son’s name on it to honor him, it gave her a reason to smile again.

But that smile has turned upside down. Dashina told the outlet that she drove to the street on Tuesday and saw that her son’s name was no longer on the sign. She said she was panicking, frustrated, with all different kinds of emotions running through her.

“Panic, frustration, and a lot of different emotions hit all at one time,” Manning said. “I proceeded to then call the town because I felt like if anybody would know what was going on, it would be them.”

According to Dashina, the town informed her that there was a public hearing to consider changing the street back to its original name, which was held in November. However, they said no one spoke up in David’s defense to keep the sign.

WITN reports that a town spokesman stated that a vote was passed to change the street back to Southwest First Street. The reason was that after one person obtained signatures from 75 percent of property owners on the street in favor of changing it back.

The city is quiet about why they wanted it changed, but according to Dashina, she said she heard that it was because of complaints about mail delivery and that Google couldn’t find the street.

Dashina also said that her family was never contacted about the change, but the city insists that information about the particular hearing could be found in several places. The mother expressed feeling that Pine Tops dishonored her son’s legacy, but she believes her son symbolizes something greater.

“If he was here I think he would say mom, I’m okay,” Manning said. “I think the work I did speaks for me; it doesn’t take a sign to say that.”

The town suggests that Manning’s family or property owners along the street have the option to create a petition to revert the street name change, but Dashina has decided to leave it in the past and move forward.

“I said I don’t want to hear that,” Pastor Caesar said she told the bishop. “I…want to hear some love talk.”

Pastor Caesar said, “Finally,” Bishop Marion got around to the love talk but claimed it took him a long time. She said that even when Bishop Marion would call her, he would philosophize, but she wanted him to just say “I love you.”

She then ended by saying, “I thought maybe I’d wake you all up, since he didn’t.”

Georgia police show up at the wrong house and hold a mother at gunpoint with assault rifles in front of her children

South Fulton Police shows up to wrong house

A Georgia family was left in shock when the South Fulton Police Department showed up at their doorstep with assault rifles in search of a man named “James”, only to realize they had mistaken the house. The family, who prefers to remain anonymous, revealed that no one from the police department even offered an apology. They are now demanding accountability for the distress caused to their family in their own home.

Surveillance footage provided by the family to 11Alive captured the moment multiple South Fulton Police officers arrived at their residence on High Tide Drive at 7 a.m. on a Thursday morning. Inside the house were four children, aged 13, 11, 4, and 2, along with their mother. The mother recounted that they were in the midst of preparing for school when her 11-year-old son noticed the unusual activity outside.

“He walked past the window to come towards my room and was like mom the police are outside,” she explained.

She mentioned that she personally verified the presence of officers in her driveway and along the street. The woman noted that police were even obstructing her truck. Curious, she made her way downstairs to investigate the reason behind the officers’ visit to her home.

“I open the door, and there are like three or four assault rifles pointed at my face at seven o’clock in the morning,” she explained.

She recounted how the officers began shouting, “Where’s James? Where’s Mr. James?” To which she coolly replied that she had no clue who they were referring to.

“I don’t know. This is not the James residence.”

Once the officers got the woman’s address and she shared it with them, she noticed a shift in their demeanor as they casually strolled away.

“He looks at the officers that are pointing at me from my driveway and he shakes his head and they just walk off,” she explained.

As per 11Alive, the woman shared that none of the officers offered an apology or acknowledged their mistake of showing up at the incorrect address. Instead, they swiftly hopped into their vehicles and zoomed off.

She vividly described to the outlet the sheer trauma of the experience.

“It was a traumatizing experience, just the way he was yelling at me so aggressively and me just thinking they’re going to kill me,” she explained. “They’re not listening to me because you already had it made up in your mind, ‘James is in this house.”’

The woman expressed that the situation was exacerbated by the fact that her kids were indoors and witnessed everything. She mentioned that her 11-year-old usually starts the truck on chilly mornings to heat it up before school, but thankfully, on that Thursday, he wasn’t the first one downstairs.

It could have been much more dire.

The South Fulton Police shows up to wrong house announced on Saturday morning that they are reviewing the incident to confirm that all protocols were adhered to properly.

“Send the police apt 3 held hostage don’t call,” Mahogany texted her mother Sunday.

Police rushed to the apartment on Sunday and questioned one of the suspects, but Mahagony, who had been held captive in various places, had already been moved from the apartment where she managed to text her mother. The chief, during a press briefing, refrained from disclosing the specific locations where Mahogany was taken or where she was tragically found deceased under a mattress, as per the police report.

Although the motive for the murder has not been revealed by the authorities, the chief did mention that Mahogany was familiar with the seven suspects, who were acquaintances and had recorded some of the harrowing final moments.

SO SAD! 11-year-old NC middle school student pass out on school bus and later dies at hospital

0

A family in North Carolina is mourning the loss of an 11-year-old middle school student from Gaston County, known for his infectious smile that brightened everyone’s day.

Tragically, the student from Holbrook Middle School passed away after being found unresponsive on a school bus as it arrived at the school on Thursday morning. Despite the valiant efforts of a Lowell Police School Resource Officer and emergency responders, young Karmarion was unable to be revived and was taken to Caromont Regional Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his condition.

Authorities attempted to use Narcan on the student as a precaution for possible narcotics exposure, but unfortunately, it did not have any effect.

A fellow student shared on social media that Karmarion often slept on the bus in the mornings, and it was only upon reaching the school that they realized something was amiss.

In a heartwarming display of support, a GoFundMe campaign has raised over $30,000 to assist the child’s father, Roscoe Hull, a single parent who is seeking help to lay his beloved son to rest. The outpouring of donations from the local community and beyond has been truly touching.

Our deepest sympathies and thoughts are with this grieving family during this difficult time.

Woman says Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs shot her in the face in a 1999 New York City shooting

2

Diddy’s 2024 isn’t shaping up to be a walk in the park, especially with a slew of allegations coming to light from individuals he’s allegedly wronged over the years. Each day seems to bring a fresh batch of unsavory accusations against the hip-hop mogul. The recent lawsuit filed by Rodney ‘Lil Rod’ Jones has stirred the pot even further, with claims that Diddy confessed to a club shooting, implicating himself in a web of deceit and manipulation.

Natania Eboné Griffin, also known as EbDaJewelsDroppa on TikTok, has stepped forward to share her truth, alleging that it was Diddy who shot her in the face in 1999, not Shyne who took the fall for him.

She recounts how Diddy’s actions that night have haunted her, with the mogul allegedly resorting to harassment in the aftermath of the incident. Despite facing multiple weapons charges and even bribery accusations, Diddy managed to evade conviction, while Shyne bore the brunt of the legal consequences, serving a 10-year prison sentence.

Lil Rod’s lawsuit paints a picture of Diddy as a power-hungry figure, boasting about his violent exploits and manipulating situations to his advantage. Griffin’s decision to speak out was prompted by the revelations in Lil Rod’s case, as she stands by her story, unwavering in her account of witnessing Diddy’s actions that fateful night. The narrative of hush money and intimidation tactics employed by Diddy to silence witnesses adds a layer of intrigue to this ongoing saga.

“Not only did he shoot me in the face, but he also set off a course of harassment against me for the past 24 years,” Griffin said.

She claims Diddy targeted her after she testified because she was the only person victimized by him and then successfully sued him and received payment.

Griffin also hinted that Diddy could face a RICO charge related to the shooting.

Woman who caused the death of another woman by administering counterfeit buttocks injections gets 4 years in prison

1

A woman from New York City has been sentenced to 4-8 years behind bars for giving fake buttock injections and causing the tragic death of Lesbia Ayala, aged 48. The culprit, Whalesca Castillo, decided to play doctor by injecting silicone into Ayala’s buttocks and thighs without a valid medical license, leading to fatal consequences.

Recently, a judge in Bronx County handed down the somewhat lenient sentence to Castillo for her role in the 2017 incident. In an agreement with prosecutors last December, Castillo pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter and second-degree assault charges related to the illicit buttock enhancement procedure she performed at her Bronx residence.

According to Prosecutor Darcel Clark, Castillo administered the silicone injections to Ayala for cosmetic purposes, resulting in the victim’s untimely demise. The intended buttock enhancement procedure backfired, causing severe infections and excruciating pain in Ayala’s lower body. As a result of Castillo’s actions, Ayala had to undergo extensive surgical procedures to remove damaged tissue.

Following the court session, Vanessa Ayala, the victim’s sister, expressed dissatisfaction with the seemingly light sentence, arguing that four years was insufficient given Castillo’s history of similar misconduct.

“Four years is not enough,” she said, according to a report from New York City ABC affiliate WABC. “This is not the first time she did what she did. This was her third time. The last time resulted in my sister’s death. There’s no way that four years is justice.”

In Vanessa Ayala’s mention of the “third” incident, she was alluding to Castillo’s 2011 federal conviction for distributing a tainted product. Castillo confessed to administering illegal silicone injections through her clandestine home operation, charging over $1,000 per session. Castillo spent a year behind bars and was slapped with a hefty $100,000 fine.

Two people charged out of six people detained in murder of Alabama mom killed and found dead under bed mattress

The gears of justice seem to be stuck for one family, as the police have apprehended six individuals in connection with the tragic death of an Alabama mother, yet only two have been formally charged with her murder.

It’s evident that someone out there holds crucial information, as 20-year-old Mahogany Jackson did not mysteriously end up under a mattress in Southwest Birmingham on her on doing, as the police report claims.

Two ladies were taken into custody on Monday afternoon in relation to Jackson’s vanishing and demise, according to abc3340.

As per prison documents, 26-year-old Teja Emery Monique Lewis and 23-year-old Si’nya Jharee McCall were both accused of capital murder during a kidnapping (first-degree).

The authorities have the power to detain them for 48 hours while they gather evidence for a potential arrest, but it remains uncertain whether any other detained suspects will face charges or if the police are leveraging this time to coax out information.

In the early hours of Monday, Jackson was tragically discovered dead by the roadside at Laurel Avenue and 17th Street SW, having suffered at least one gunshot wound. Her mother, Gail Maddox, revealed that Jackson had sent her a distressing text around 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, indicating she was being held against her will and urging her mother to contact 911 with her location.

Upon reaching the specified location, the family and authorities were met with a woman who claimed Jackson had left hours earlier. A passerby later alerted the police after discovering a body, leading to the detention of the six suspects throughout the day. The initial arrest was made at the apartment complex where Jackson had mentioned in her text to her mother, involving a 26-year-old woman.

Tragically, Jackson leaves behind a young daughter.

Police have released no further information.

Downlow SC man who was messing around with a transgender found guilty of murder, 1st hate crime conviction in U.S.

0

A downlow trade man from South Carolina is fully out of the closet after being convicted by a jury for the murder of a transgender individual. They were in a secret romantic relationship until she revealed their relationship on social media.

The embarrassment of it all led Daqua Lameek Ritter, also known as “Quavo,” to lure his black transgender girlfriend into the woods of rural Allendale, South Carolina, where he shot her in the head three times. Prosecutors said the only reason Ritter did this was because Dime Doe was transgender.

Daqua Lameek Ritter
Daqua Lameek Ritter

Doe was 24 years old at the time of her untimely death. Ritter was also found guilty of tampering with a witness, victim,or informant, as well as a single firearm charge. When a grand jury indicted Ritter, they found and agreed that he knowingly lied to the police on the day Dime Doe was murdered.

According to court documents, Ritter claimed that he had not been in Doe’s car during an August 2019 traffic stop, just three hours before Doe’s murder and approximately 3.5 miles away from where her body was ultimately found. Court documents also stated that Ritter lied multiple times to the police about his whereabouts.

Upon discovering Doe, the police reported that she was found inside a parked car with three gunshot wounds to her head.It took jurors only five hours to become fed up with Ritter and send him to prison. According to NBC affiliate WIS in Columbia, South Carolina, the family of Doe emitted an audible gasp inside the courtroom when the verdict was read.

Dime Doe

It took over twenty witnesses to help convict Ritter, supported by evidence that his girlfriend, Delasia Green, remembered his explosive reactions when his sexuality was questioned.

Whispers on the streets suggested Ritter was involved with a transgender individual, leading to threats towards Doe if she spoke out about their relationship. Ritter’s uncle, residing near where Doe’s body was discovered, alerted the authorities to the grim finding.

In an attempt to cover his tracks, Ritter burned his murder attire and tried to conceal the weapon used in the crime. However, witnesses, including a cousin who testified against him, claimed Ritter confessed to the killing.

Ritter begged his cousin to keep the gruesome truth hidden, as reported by WIS on February 22nd. The Justice Department revealed that Ritter’s trial marked the first prosecution under the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act, a law passed in 2009 to address federal hate crimes based on sexual orientation or gender identity.

A sentencing date for Ritter is yet to be determined.

Prior to the shooting, Edwards was seen concealing the firearm behind his back, only to suddenly open fire in close proximity to one of the girls.

Brooklyn Fake pastor turned scammer on trial in New York for scamming one of his church members, faces 65 years in prison

0

Looks like Brooklyn’s Bishop Lamor Whitehead is about to cash in his prayers as he faces a federal trial for some shady dealings. While we can’t vouch for his heavenly credit score, the prosecutors seem to have a solid case against him. They’re ready to grill this self-proclaimed man of God and send him packing. In case you forgot, Whitehead is the pastor who claimed he was robbed of a million bucks worth of bling at gunpoint during a church service.

Brooklyn Lamor Whithead
Brooklyn Lamor Whithead

Months later, the feds charged him with wire fraud, attempted extortion, and lying to the law. They say he swindled a parishioner’s savings, promising to invest in a house but splurged on designer gear, a fancy car, and takeout. He even tried to squeeze money out of a Bronx auto shop owner, boasting about his supposed influence with the Mayor.

Now, Whitehead is in Manhattan facing trial for allegedly stealing from a church member’s retirement fund and trying to con a businessman into funding his lavish lifestyle. He spun tales of big bucks and connections to city officials, but it turns out his bank account was emptier than a piggy bank with just six bucks.

Prosecutor Jessica Greenwood called Whitehead a ‘con man’ during her opening statements:

“This is a case about a con man who told lie after lie to victim after victim. He committed crime after crime to make money,” said Greenwood. “He was a friend to the mayor (Adams) and the defendant abused that trust. He lied about how much money he had and his influence…The defendant has expensive tastes, designer clothes and a massive mansion. He’d lie, cheat and steal to keep up with that appearance of wealth.”

The trial is all about how he scammed a parishioner out of $90,000, promising a home and investments but blowing it on luxury items. He also tried to sweet-talk a businessman into a half-million-dollar deal by name-dropping his supposed political connections.

The businessman smelled something fishy and tipped off the feds, leading to Whitehead’s arrest after a lengthy investigation. Looks like this bishop’s prayers might not be enough to save him from the long arm of the law.

Whitehead could potentially spend a whopping 65 years behind bars if found guilty.

‘Whaaat’? Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs sued by male ex-employee, says he has hours of videos and audio recordings

1

Oh boy, Chile! The one and only Diddy, also known as Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, is facing yet another lawsuit, and this time it’s a man stepping forward with some serious allegations. Remember those four women who accused Diddy of some shady stuff last year? Well, this new accuser is claiming that Diddy did exactly what those ladies said he did.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs

And let me tell you, this lawsuit is no joke. The former male producer is spilling all the tea, claiming to have hours and hours of videos and audio recordings exposing Diddy and his crew in what he calls a “Rico Enterprise” involving sex workers and more.

According to the juicy details from a federal lawsuit obtained by NBC News, this producer, Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, spilled the beans on his time living and traveling with Diddy from September 2022 to November 2023. Jones is not holding back, alleging that Diddy and his entourage were up to some serious illegal activities.

Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones
Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones

The accusations don’t stop there. Jones claims that Diddy made him recruit sex workers and pressured him into participating in nonconsensual acts with them and others. And get this, Jones even says that Diddy was spiking drinks at his parties with who knows what!

As if that wasn’t scandalous enough, Jones also provided screenshots of gatherings at Diddy’s homes that allegedly included underage girls and sex workers, some of whom he says were given drinks laced with drugs at Diddy’s command. Oh, the drama!

Jones thinks Diddy was attempting to manipulate him into engaging in sexual activities. According to Jones, Diddy would minimize the reported incidents as mere “playful antics.” Jones further claims that Diddy coerced him into watching a video featuring Stevie J in a sexual encounter with another man. Jones even provided a screenshot from the video.

There are additional claims swirling around, as he recounts an incident involving a female relative of Diddy’s partner, Yung Miami, supposedly making unwanted advances towards him in the presence of Diddy and his team.

Yung Miami

But wait, there’s more to the story… Jones reveals that Diddy once brought escorts to his Miami residence, and on a particular occasion, Jones suspects he was drugged and potentially assaulted while at the house.

He also accuses Diddy of purposely spiking women’s drinks with drugs at various gatherings, where he served his own tequila and vodka brands.

There are more scandalous claims, such as bringing underage girls to Diddy’s residence and giving them alcohol.

Jones asserts that Diddy instructed Stevie J and his son Justin Combs to recruit prostitutes, with Justin specifically asked to find young girls for the parties.

Jones also states that Diddy introduced him to Cuba Gooding Jr. on his yacht, where Cuba allegedly made inappropriate advances by touching Mr. Jones in various intimate areas.

There are claims of a shooting incident involving Diddy and his son Justin at an L.A. recording studio, as per Jones. Allegedly, a heated argument escalated into gunfire, resulting in a man named G being shot in the stomach and bleeding heavily.

Jones claims that Diddy instructed him to fib to the authorities and spin a tale about G getting caught in a drive-by shooting.

Apart from Diddy, Jones is taking legal action against Justin, several staff members, and a bunch of music bigwigs. As per the paperwork, he’s aiming for a hefty $30 million in compensation.

According to a press release issued on behalf of Wendy Williams, her medical team revealed that in 2023, after a series of tests, she was officially diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia.

Aphasia, a condition affecting speech comprehension and expression, along with frontotemporal dementia, a progressive disorder impacting behavior and cognitive functions, have posed significant challenges in Wendy’s life, as stated in the release.

The statement also mentioned Wendy’s previous openness about her health struggles with Graves’ Disease and Lymphedema, as well as other health-related obstacles she has faced. Questions about Wendy’s cognitive abilities have arisen in recent years, especially as she began experiencing difficulties with speech and financial transactions.

Weill Cornell Medicine was acknowledged in the statement for providing Wendy with the necessary medical care following her diagnosis.

This news comes shortly after a People cover story revealed that Wendy is currently residing in a facility under the financial supervision of a court-appointed guardian, with her family being unable to directly contact her.
