Chileee. Diddy done got scared and paid her OFF!
Word On The Curb…Sean Combs and singer Cassie have come to an agreement shortly after she filed a lawsuit alleging rape and physical abuse against the hip-hop mogul, according to The New York Times.
The settlement was announced on Friday evening, with no details disclosed about the terms. Cassie, also known as Casandra Ventura, expressed her decision to resolve the matter amicably, acknowledging the support of her family, fans, and legal team. Similarly, Combs conveyed his well wishes to Cassie and her family, expressing a desire to resolve the matter amicably.
The settlement now puts an end to the potential risks and embarrassing evidence against “Diddy”. However, the damage has already been done, as the allegations became public after Cassie filed the explosive lawsuit. And seemingly, “Diddy” has admitted to the allegations, as he offered to settle and a settlement has been reached.
In her lawsuit, Ventura, who signed with Bad Boy label at 19 and dated “Diddy” for about a decade, accused him of years of physical abuse, controlling behavior, and various forms of sexual abuse, including rape. In response, Combs lawyer, Ben Brafman, vehemently denied these allegations.
Ventura’s suit, filed in Federal District Court in Manhattan, detailed numerous instances of assault by Combs, leaving her injured, as well as being coerced into sexual encounters with male prostitutes while Combs watched and recorded videos.
The suit also alleged that Combs exerted control over various aspects of Ventura’s life, including her finances and personal medical records. Ventura stated that she did not report the abuse to the police out of fear of further harm from Combs.
