Raleigh Police arrested two men on Christmas Eve after they were caught parachuting off a construction crane at a downtown site. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. at the new City Hall construction site, located in the 200 block of West Hargett Street.
ABC 11 WTVD captured footage of the men as they parachuted onto the top deck of the City Hall parking deck. Police were alerted to the stunt when a call came in about individuals trespassing.
The suspects were identified as 51-year-old Jason McClure and 37-year-old Jorge Chacon. Both men were charged with trespassing and resisting an officer. Fortunately, neither of the men sustained injuries during the daring jump.
