Democratic Governor Roy Cooper did not hesitate to send 300 members of the North Carolina National Guard to Washington, D.C. to help secure and protect Joe Biden’s inauguration.
The guardsman will be assisting the D.C. Metro Police stationed at six Metro stops and are on call for engagement if there were to be an attack.
Nearly 25,000 National Guardsmen will be in Washington, D.C. Wednesday for the change of power as brainwashed Trump supporters continue to make threats.
I don’t think anyone really knows what’s going to happen after Wednesday,” Lt. Col. Jim. McVeigh said. So we’re here. We’ll continue the mission if that’s what’s asked of us. Our goal is to ensure the peaceful transfer of power and hopefully, we can deescalate and everyone can go home.
