Four North Carolina men arrested for murder after a man was found dead in trunk

A vehicle with four men inside speeding near U.S. Highway 158 and Georgia Avenue in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, early Monday morning led police to discover a man dead in the trunk of the vehicle.

Police say they learned the victim, 23-year-old Trevon Quantavius Fields had been shot.

Ralik Robinson, 22, Trevathann Myquan Shearin, 20, and Shantron Avondre Person, 20, all of Roanoke Rapids, and Deluntae Jaequon Squire, 23, of Halifax, were arrested and were being held without bond in the Halifax County jail.

No other details about the shooting were released.
