Monday morning, Blue Face, whose real name is Johnathan Porter, received a small victory in court when a judge suspended his 2-5 year prison sentence for the Vegas shooting and instead placed him on probation for 24 months.
Last November, Blue Face was arrested and charged with attempted murder with a deadly weapon and discharging a firearm at or into an occupied structure for shooting at a man named Kentavious Traylor. Prosecutors later dismissed the attempted murder charge as a result of a plea deal. In July, Blue Face pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of battery and discharging a firearm.
Other rules of Blue Face’s probation prohibit him from using alcohol or drugs. He also cannot contact the victim and must avoid the Las Vegas Strip, as well as the city’s downtown area, unless it’s for work-related purposes.
During the wrap-up of his victim impact statement in court, Traylor took out his phone and captured a selfie of him and Blue Face as Blue Face stood at the the defense table.
Blue Face also has an upcoming felony robbery hearing scheduled for October 4. This charge stems from an incident where a fan allegedly tried to film Chrisean Rock with a cellphone.
