37-year-old Florida man kill his blood sister over a electric bill but the siblings have been beefing ever since their mother passed away.
Orange County deputies responded to a home on Charles Street in Pine Hill around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Prior to their arrival, the suspect, 37-year-old Rowby Severe, called 911 himself and informed dispatchers that he had shot his sister.
The surviving sister told deputies that their brother was angry with them about a power bill. They said Severe went into his bedroom and retrieved a gun. The surviving sister said that she and her sister ran and locked themselves in a bedroom.
Investigators said Severe forced his way into the bedroom, punched his sisters, and struck them with a gun. When the deceased victim, Magael Brown, attempted to stand up, Severe shot her in the head and then exited the bedroom, as stated by investigators.
The surviving sister was taken to the hospital, where she sustained several injuries to her head. It is likely that her injuries will result in permanent disfigurement.
According to a court document, the siblings had been in a dispute over the ownership of the home since their mother’s passing. The court document said their mother left all three of them the home.
However, three years ago, Severe and the surviving sister sued the deceased victim, Magael Brown, because they wanted to sell the home, but she wanted to keep it. The case is still pending.
Court records show that in July, Brown was trying to buy her siblings’ share of the house.
