Eugene Louis-Jocques, the boyfriend of roller skater Beauty ‘Katera’ Couch has been arrested by Louisiana authorities for her murder.
On Thursday, Austell, Georgia, fire department responded to a scene where a vehicle was fully engulfed in flames. After the fire was extinguished, the officers were able to obtain the owner’s information.
When Austell police arrived at the address registered to the vehicle, they learned that 22-year-old Beauty ‘Katera’ Couch had not been seen since Wednesday, according to her family.
Austell police searched the area where Couch’s car was engulfed in flames and discovered her lifeless body near a wooded area. Cobb County police took over the investigation and immediately suspected foul play in the death of Couch.
Police have identified Couch’s boyfriend as 21-year-old Eugene Louis-Jocques of Naples, Florida. He was arrested in Louisiana and has connections to St. Tammany Parish, which is located just north of New Orleans. Police had been surveiling him after their investigation suspected he had been involved in Couch’s murder.
On Friday, Louisiana police conducted a traffic stop and arrested Louis-Jocques for driving, according to court documents.
Couch was a roller skater who had over 150,000 Instagram followers and often posted videos of herself skating.
Louis-Jocques is awaiting extradition back to Georgia.
