A 63-year-old Charlotte pastor, Diane Lewis, was found dead in the woods on August 5, and her death is being investigated as a homicide.
Officers were dispatched to Belmeade Drive at 1:09 a.m. in response to a citizen attempting to locate a deceased female. Officers arrived and discovered Lewis dead in a nearby wooded area. Lewis’s death was ruled a homicide by a medical examiner.
The cause of death for Lewis is unknown, and police are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
Pastor Lewis was arrested last year for larceny, possession of drug paraphernalia, and fleeing/eluding arrest.
