Canadian woman killed on her 23rd birthday vacation at a Mexican Hotel with her boyfriend

Here we go again…

Having just turned 23, Kiara Agnew was on a “dream birthday vacation” with her boyfriend that turned deadly when she wound up dead in her Mexican hotel.

Authorities say they have arrested a Canadian in connection with Agnew’s death, most likely her boyfriend, whose identity has yet to be revealed.

In a tweet on March 3, Mexican police said a “person of foreign origin” was being held for the “possible crime of femicide” after a woman was found “lifeless” at a hotel in the neighborhood of Xcalacoco, just south of Cancun.

According to police, Agnew had been found with “possible marks of violence,” which could mean she was in a domestic violence relationship.

Agnew is from Dawson Creek, B.C.

A GoFundMe was set up for Agnew by her aunt, Tanya Roberts.

The fundraiser reads that Agnew was killed “at the hands of someone she loved, who turned out to be a monster.”

It is said to die at 23 on your birthday trip.

No more information has been released at this time.
