Arrest made in murder of Denver Quick killed while sitting in her car in Laurinburg

Authorities in North Carolina have apprehended a suspect in the tragic murder of Denver Jamesia Quick, who was fatally shot while sitting in her car on Wagram Street last week.

The Lauringburg Police Department announced the arrest of 21-year-old Nicholas Leonardo Nicholson for the murder of Quick, affectionately known as “Mesha.”

Nicholson is currently in custody, facing multiple charges including first-degree murder, discharging a weapon into occupied property, felony conspiracy, and discharging a firearm within city limits.

Quick was discovered in her silver Chevrolet Malibu, which had also been hit by gunfire from Nicholson while she was driving on Wagram Street. Nicholson is being held in jail without bond.

Police is asking anyone with information to contact Laurinburg Police Department.
