Investigators say three Texas sisters found in their neighbors pond were all strangled

Three Cass County, Texas, girls who were initially believed to have drowned were actually strangled to death, investigators now say, according to CBS 19.

On July 29, 2022, 9-year-old Zi’Ariel Robinson-Oliver, 8-year-old A’Miyah Hughes, and 5-year-old Te’Mari Robinson-Oliver, all sisters, were being babysat by their cousin, Paris Propps, while their mother was at work.

Around 9 p.m. that night, Propps reported the sisters missing leaving authorities hours later recovering the girls’ bodies from their neighbor’s pond.

An autopsy performed on the sisters showed that they were strangled. The girls also had lacerations on their faces. During the investigation, police conducted interviews and are currently testing DNA evidence. However, this case has no persons of interest or suspects.

When the area was searched, a pair of shoes were located, and clothes had been scattered near the shoreline and in the water. Police said they also found an abandoned bicycle.

Cats County Sheriff Larry Rowe said it was not clear why the girls were at the pond, making it seem like, it’s not a possibility that they could have been kidnapped. SMH!

There is no additional information at this time.

The North Carolina Beat is looking more into this case.

A GoFundMe has been set up for the family.
