No media cameras allowed in Carlee Russell first court hearing set for October

After begging for our cameras and the media to help them locate a woman who was never kidnapped, those cameras will not be allowed inside the courtroom Carlee ‘Lying’ Russell will be in when she appears for her first court setting in October.

Carlee Russell disappeared after setting up a kidnapping plot.
25-year-old Carlee Russell

The first court date for Carlee Russell has been scheduled for October 11 at 2pm. This comes after Russell was charged with two misdemeanors for faking her kidnapping, claiming she saw a toddler on the side of the road before disappearing for 49 hours. Hoover Police say they still don’t know where Russell was for those 49 hours.

The October hearing will allow Russell, her attorney Emory Anthony, and prosecutors to discuss and resolve preliminary issues before she goes to trial.

The judge presiding over the case, Thomas Brad Bishop, has banned cameras from being allowed in the hearing.
