“Suspicious” person surrounding North Carolina Lyric Woods and Devin Clark murder

Last night, I went live on The North Carolina Beat’s Facebook page while eating some good ol Bojangle’s Chicken about an individual I briefly investigated.

My investigation into this individual started a couple of days after The North Carolina Beat received a screenshot with this individual’s Snapchat username, “Southern_p2277.”

In the Snapchat message, it seems like wh*ever was saying, “F**K THAT B***H LET HER BURN IN HELL MY BOI KILLED THAT B***H,” tagged Claude Brown(Southern_p2277) in the Snap. On Snapchat, instead of “tagged,” the app uses the term “mentioned.” So, they mentioned Claude Brown in the Snap.

The Snapchat user’s nickname on the account was “Kiss.”

After a quick Google search of “Southern_p2277”, a TikTok account (@ttvkiss) came up with the name Claude Brown. This name has come up in person and on social media about Brown threatening to put a bullet in Devin Clark’s head. However, I have not personally seen the message.

During my research into Claude Brown then, I could view his TikTok and, with my own eyes, saw a video that he posted of Lyric Woods. I don’t remember anything being on Brown’s TikTok that would cause it to be banned as it now is. It seems, though, the more you hear his name surrounding the deaths of Woods and Clark, his social media says it’s banned or deleted.

After hearing things about Brown surrounding the deaths of Woods and Clark, I decided to go incognito. So on September 21, 2022, I added him on Snapchat at the username “Southern_p2277” and talked with him. His responses to the accusations I was making about what I heard from others about him were weird.

When I added Brown, he sent a message, “Do ik u?”.

I responded back, “Errbody said add you.”

Brown asked me again, “Do ik u?”

I responded back, “Do you bruh I clearly said errbody said add you. They got yo shit floating in a screenshot.”

Brown replied, “Ik I’m going famous for it.”

I responded back, “Lol. So that’s how I found you bro. I ain’t on no creepy shit or weird shit. Just lotta shit going on and they tryna frame bruh.”

Brown replied, “It don’t bother me I be to busy streaming.”

In that little bit of messaging between us, something stood out to me that made my antennas go up… the only part of my last response to him that could’ve made Brown reply back with the “It dont bother me I be busy streaming,” is when I said, “Just lotta shit going on and they tryna frame bruh.” No other part of my response would have made him say that but that part.

So, after Brown said, “It don’t bother me I be to busy streaming.” I replied back, “Oh word. Trueeee that’s wa*supppp. I feel you bro bro. Shit crazy round here.”

The only thing Brown said back was, “Mhm.”

I then told him to send me his streaming site, which is on Twitch TV, and his username is @ttv_kiss.

On September 22, I came out and said, “Bro. Lol y they saying you Claude brown?”

Brown replied, Who knows who cares and I won’t be live for a week cuz I’m going to my grandmas.”

Now, as you can see in the screenshot at the top of this story, it doesn’t have the name, Claude Brown. It simply has this person’s Snapchat username, “Southern_p2277.” 

Soooooo, wouldn’t you think Brown would have said, “I don’t know who that is or Nah I ain’t no Claude Brown, etc.” If someone wasn’t you, you wouldn’t say, “Who knows who cares.” He gave it away in that response that he was Claude Brown.

Then I responded back to Brown and said, “Lol. They got your name going round saying you murdered lyric and Devin.” 

Brown replied, “I don’t even live in sc or even near it I live across the state I live in Washington.”

Again, I mean, if someone said “they,” saying I murdered someone. My response wouldn’t be, “I don’t even live in sc or even near it I live across the state I live in Washington.” Who says that after someone says people are saying you are Lyric and Devin’s killer?

After Brown responded to the murder accusation, he removed me as a friend on Snapchat. So, in the screenshots below, you will see at the top-right “Add.” This is because I screenshotted the conversation after he deleted me because I didn’t want him to know I screenshotted the conversation while we were friends on Snapchat. Because anyone who has Snapchat knows that the app sends notifications when you take a photo or screen record messages.

I don’t know what you will get from reading the conversation. But, unless you’ve heard the rumors on the streets, you will quickly understand the messages and see them for what they are.

Lyric Woods and Devin Clark were found shot to death Sunday, September 18, 2022, in Orange County, North Carolina. They were close friends, and both went missing Friday night, September 16, 2022.

A 17-year-old has been charged with the death of the two teenagers. Their deaths remain suspicious among North Carolinians. According to Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the 17-year-old suspect is still at-large.

It’s unclear how old Claude Brown is.
