North Carolina authorities have found the body of a missing 18-year-old teenager named Amir Hinnant, of Spring Hope, North Carolina.
In a video shared on social media by Amir’s mother on Saturday, March 2, 2024, under the username MiniImah Hinnant, she mentioned that she had been searching for her son for 10-12 days. However, the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office stated that Amir was not reported missing by his family until March 2.
Authorities suspect that Amir was murdered elsewhere before being left in Halifax County near NC Highway 481, just outside Enfield. Reports on social media suggest that Amir was discovered deceased in a vehicle. The police have not disclosed any details about the owner of the car.
Amir’s car is currently missing and has not been located. It is uncertain whether the car Amir was discovered in belongs to him or someone else. His mother mentioned that she was notified of her son’s passing before his discovery on March 4, but did not disclose the source of this information.
The police have not provided any details about potential suspects or persons of interest related to the case at this time.
