Six teenagers were shot early Saturday morning at a nightclub after a fight broke out during a private party at the club.
Four girls and two boys are expected to survive the injuries they sustained, according to Raleigh Police Department.
The shooting started inside Club Dreams, located on Paula Street, after a fight broke out inside. Police said the fight went outside the club, and more shots were fired. There is only one shooter confirmed, according to Raleigh Police.
Ages 12-17 attended the private party hosted at Club Dreams. It’s unclear who the shooter was, whether it was a teenager or an adult. It’s also unknown whether any adults supervised the teenagers during the party.
Whoever was in charge of the party was not supervising the teens, and neither was there any security at the club because how in the f**k did a gun get in a club at a teen party? These are the questions that remain and are also questions that may never be answered.
The party was to celebrate the end of summer and the start of a new school year.
Raleigh Police Department PIO Lt. Jason Borneo said one of the teens was shot in the arm, and the bullet penetrated his lung.
As of Saturday morning, all six teenagers were still in the hospital recovering from their injuries.
