A chaotic Glenwood Avenue shooting in Raleigh early Sunday morning was caught on video as crowds ran for cover after gunfire erupted in the busy nightlife strip.
RALEIGH, N.C. — A wild shooting in Raleigh’s nightlife district early Sunday morning after gunshots rang out, sent people running for their lives — and it’s all caught on video.
According to the Raleigh Police Department, officers were dispatched around 2:22 a.m. to the 500 block of Glenwood Avenue after reports of a shooting in one of Raleigh’s busiest late-night hotspots.
Social media footage shows a crowd suddenly scattering as multiple gunshots could be heard very close in the area.
When officers arrived on scene, they located one man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to a nearby hospital with injuries that authorities say are not life-threatening.
As of now, police have not made any arrests, and details about what led up to the shooting remain unclear.
