DMX died from cocaine, according to released autopsy

Date:

Word at the halfway house, DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons died from a cocaine-induced heart attack, which prevented circulation to his brain, according to an autopsy released from Westchester County Medical Examiner’s Office.

People who have been knowing DMX in the music industry and his fans have always known that he struggled with cocaine, and too much of it killed him on April 9, when his family pulled the plug.

It was cardiac arrest for a period of time, so there was no circulation to the brain, said a medical examiner’s office rep, who also added X’s regular cocaine use ultimately leading up to his death.

DMX was in a coma for almost a week before his family decided that it was time to let him be with his maker.

He was 50-years-old.

RIP DMX.
