Daszmar Lockhart, a 37-year-old track coach and owner of Lock Nation Athletics in Charlotte, has been charged following allegations from three women who claim he sexually assaulted them while they were minors under his coaching.
Lockhart was taken into custody by authorities on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. The accusations suggest that he would bring his young players to his home and allegedly assault them. Court documents indicate that he faces multiple charges, including indecent liberties with a child, statutory sex offense involving a child under 15, and statutory rape of a child under 15.

During a press conference, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg police revealed that they became aware of Lockhart after an adult reported that he had been her coach at Lock Nation Athletics. The woman alleged that Lockhart assaulted her several times when she was 14 years old, claiming he made her feel that he was essential for her success. Following her report, two additional girls came forward with similar accusations, with one being 11 years old at the time and the other 15.
