Word On The Curb…one of the most uninteresting housewives in the Real Housewives franchise, Kandi Burruss from Old Lady Gang, is leaving. Kandi has been a cast member on the Real Housewives of Atlanta since 2009, and fans are pleased that she is departing.
While the Xscape singer claims she is taking a break, fans are hoping that it is permanent. They are also hoping that the Bravo network will extend an invitation to past cast members like NeNe Leakes, Phaedra Parks, and possibly Porsha Williams.
In an interview with Variety’s On the Carpet, Kandi claimed she wasn’t “keeping up” and that Bravo allowed the ladies to wait around for news about the next season, so she moved on to bigger projects. One thing about Mrs. Burrus-Tucker is that she always puts money first.
“I’m not really keeping up right now, Kandi told the magazine when asked about the show. “I’m not keeping up. I already said it, so I’ll tell you. I decided I’m not coming back this year. It’s been 14 seasons, and they allowed us to sit around for a little too long, but during that time I had started working on a lot of other things, and I got some nice big projects coming soon, so I’m super excited about those things.”
Kandi continued and said that after talking with a friend, she decided that she had been on the show for too long and wanted to take a break. This was another reason for her decision to leave the show. It could also be that Kandi is running out of storylines, but she didn’t mention that as a reason.
We can’t wait to see what Kandi has in store for us next.
