Northside High School Director of Bands Aaron Kingsberry in Jacksonville, North Carolina, has been arrested and charged with two counts of felony secret peeping.

According to arrest warrants, Kingsberry is accused of using an electronic device to secretly photograph a man and a woman inside a bedroom at the same residence.

The alleged happened on February 7, 2025, at the Pitt-Greene Connector property — better known as the University Edge & Dickinson Lofts, a popular student housing spot.

The charges specifically include using an electronic device to take photos “for the purpose of arousing and gratifying the sexual desire of a person, Aaron Kingsberry.”

Kingsberry is currently in the Onslow County Jail with no bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the Pitt County Courthouse.

Earlier Tuesday, the school’s principal, Brad Staley, sent out an automated message informing parents that Kingsberry had been charged and that none of the students at Northside were involved in the allegations.
