CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The streets of the Queen City just got cooked after Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) announced a MAJOR drug takedown that allegedly pulled more than 77 pounds of illegal narcotics off the streets — along with a small arsenal of firearms.
Authorities say Raheem Raysean Taylor was arrested February 13 following what police described as a “lengthy investigation.” What detectives allegedly uncovered inside his Chalkstone Road home reads like a federal indictment waiting to happen.
WHAT POLICE SAY THEY FOUND
Court documents reveal Taylor was initially caught with 526 grams (1.16 pounds) of powder cocaine at the time of arrest. But that was just the beginning.
