The public is being asked to help locate an 83-year-old woman from Pittsboro, North Carolina, Alice McIlvaine Parsons, who has mysteriously vanished.
As reported by the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office, the last known contact someone had with Parsons was on Thursday, October 17, around 6:30 p.m., and since then, she has fallen off the radar. Worried family members reached out to authorities last Friday when they were unable to get in touch with her.
When deputies arrived at her home on Graycliff Road, they discovered that her gray 2009 Ford Escape was missing, while her cellphone was left behind on the kitchen counter.

Parsons is about 5’2″ with a frail build and weighs about 75 pounds, according to a family member and she may be suffering from anorexia. She has experienced moments of confusion in the past and has been battling an eye infection recently, though there are no known serious cognitive issues.
Her missing vehicle license plate number is XRC2042.
The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with information regarding Parsons or her vehicle to reach out at 919-542-2911.
