A 25-year-old man from Wilson NC double homicide after prison release, North Carolina news, who was just released from prison days ago, is now in custody after allegedly killing his mother and brother at their home on Snowden Drive SE.

The suspect, identified as Da’Ron Donta Jenkins, had been released from the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction on March 25, 2025, just six days before the double homicide, according to court records obtained by The North Carolina Beat.

Jenkins had served time for malicious conduct by a prisoner, larceny of firearms, and breaking and entering and had been in prison since 2021. He was released under a 9-month post-release supervision program.
Authorities have not yet released the names of the victims or the motive behind the killings. The investigation is active and ongoing, and more details are expected to be released as the case develops.
