Authorities are searching for 20-year-old Chase Alexander Terziu, who is accused of stabbing his father multiple times before fleeing in his father’s GMC truck.
The Southern Pines Police Department responded to a call on Cypress Circle regarding an assault with a deadly weapon on Sunday, Jan. 5, around 12:40 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from several stab wounds. The victim, identified as Terziu’s father, informed police that his son was responsible for the attack.
Terziu father’s GMC truck, was recovered in Brunswick County, North Carolina. However, Terziu remains at large.
Police have issued a warrant for Terziu’s arrest on charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, larceny of a motor vehicle, and larceny of a firearm. Authorities believe Terziu is armed and dangerous, as he is thought to be in possession of a firearm.
Law enforcement agencies urge the public to exercise caution and report any sightings of Chase Alexander Terziu to 911.
