A graphic and deeply disturbing video has sparked outrage online after three men were seen laughing as they set an opossum on fire in what appears to be a Charlotte neighborhood. The footage, shared by a Facebook user under the name “Hefe Hefe,” has prompted immediate public backlash and calls for the men involved to be arrested and charged.

Social media users have identified the man behind the “Hefe Hefe” account as Cameron Torrence, a resident of Charlotte. In the video caption, Hefe tagged two other Facebook users believed to be involved: Johnny Williamson and Daonly Twothree.

The caption posted with the video read:
“Yall Wanna See Ah Dead Body Check On Ya Peoples Check CC”
The video shows what appears to be lighter fluid being poured directly onto a live opossum and the surrounding fencing. As the men laugh and casually discuss their actions, one of them ignites the opossum, engulfing the animal in flames as it struggles. During the video, TwoThree could be heard telling to douse the burning animal with more fluid – and he does.
