President Donald Trump made it clear Monday – that he’s not apologizing to Pope Leo XIV after unleashing a late-night social media rant on Truth Social.
TRUMP CALLS POPE “WEAK” — THEN DOUBLES DOWN
On Sunday Trump hopped on Truth Social and went off, blasting Pope Leo XIV as:
“WEAK on Crime, and terrible for Foreign Policy.”
Trump accused the pontiff of being too liberal, too soft, and flat-out wrong for criticizing U.S. military actions tied to the escalating Iran conflict.
By Monday, instead of cooling off, Trump stepped outside the Oval Office and said he will not apologize.
Trump says he won’t apologize to Pope Leo:
I won’t apologize.
Pope Leo said things that are wrong.

Shortly after dragging the Pope, Trump posted an AI-generated image of himself depicted as Jesus – appearing to heal a sick person.
Trump got immediate backlash — including from MAGA conservatives and religious leaders who said the post crossed the line into blasphemy territory.
Trump later deleted the post
“I THOUGHT I WAS A DOCTOR…”
When reporters pressed him about the now-viral image, Trump tried to walk it back.
“I thought it was me as a doctor… it had to do with the Red Cross.”
He doubled down again, adding:
“I do make people better.”
POPE LEO XIV RESPONDS — WITHOUT SAYING HIS NAME
Meanwhile, Pope Leo XIV took the high road… but still delivered a message loud and clear. Speaking during a flight from Rome to Africa, the pope said:
“Blessed are the peacemakers.”
He also made it known he’s not intimidated by the Trump administration and will continue speaking out against war and violence, especially regarding the U.S.-Israeli actions tied to Iran.
