Jadelyn Swett, the Pembroke woman who previously claimed her house was set on fire by a woman linked to a man she was casually seeing, has now found herself arrested for another violent incident. This time, it was an attack on the pregnant sister of the woman she accused of the arson.

According to warrants obtained by The North Carolina Beat, on Saturday, Feb. 15, Swett allegedly assaulted Elexis Jacobs inside a mall in Lumberton. Swett is said to have struck Jacobs with a closed fist, knocking her to the ground before repeatedly hitting and kicking her in the face, resulting in multiple contusions and scratches on Jacobs’s face and left knee, according to warrants. Jacobs was pregnant at the time of the assault.

But what really stands out is Swett’s stupid decision to post the entire incident on her Facebook page. As if that wasn’t enough, she also issued threats against Jacobs’s sister, Deanna Marie—who shares a child with the man Swett had been involved with.
In the video, Swett can be heard accusing Jacobs of burning her house down, and alleging that her sister had footage of Jacobs in the backseat of the car involved in the alleged arson. Swett previously told The North Carolina Beat in December 2024 that she didn’t have any evidence or video, but “just had a gut feeling” that Marie was behind burning her house down.
Jacobs and Marie’s mother, Josie Emanuel, spoke to The North Carolina Beat and slammed Swett’s claims. Emanuel stated:
“THEY CLAIMED THEY SAW HER ON VIDEO IN THE BACKSEAT OF DEANNA’S CAR WHEN THEIR HOUSE GOT BURNED DOWN. WHAT VIDEO?”
In the video posted to Swett’s Facebook, she is seen wearing a burgundy shirt with her hair in a ponytail, while her sister, Jillian, is dressed in all black.

Juvenile warrants have also been issued for Jillian, according to Emanuel. As for Jadelyn, her bond is set at $6,000 secured, according to Robeson County Detenion Center. Her next court date is scheduled for March 10, 2025, according to court records.
