Henderson Police didn’t waste time, arresting Deans the same day and charging her with misdemeanor sell/give weapon to minor—a charge that barely scratches the surface of this devastating loss.
Court documents obtained by The North Carolina Beat reveal that Deans “unlawfully and willfully” left a firearm accessible inside the home, making it easy for her toddler to reach the deadly weapon, resulting in a young girl’s life cut short, and a 3-year-old now forever tied to a tragedy.
