A murder suspect, who the Apex, North Carolina police said shot and killed his ex-girlfriend near her job at Molly Maid before 8:30 a.m. on Monday morning, has been caught and arrested in Jacksonville, North Carolina.
Police quickly started searching for 30-year-old Tevin Leach after he fled the scene following the alleged murder of 30-year-old Felicia Barbee-Battle.
According to the police, the shooting occurred in the 1500 block of Beaver Creek Commons Drive, near the Molly Maid office. Barbee-Battle was an employee of Molly Maid.
Apex police said that Barbee-Battle’s ex-boyfriend, Tevin Leach, had visited Molly Made before. When he arrived on Monday, Barbee-Battle was inside the business when Leach asked her to step outside and speak with him. Moments later, police reported hearing gunshots within seconds after the two individuals exited the building.
Police said Barbee-Battle was transported to a hospital with gunshot wounds, where she died.

According to the police, Leach fled the scene in a gold or beige older model sedan with tinted windows after the deadly shooting. During an hours-long manhunt, Leach was arrested in Jacksonville, North Carolina.
Leach is charged with first-degree murder.

Social media posts obtained by The North Carolina Beat show that Leach had been expressing his heartbreak in several posts in the hours leading up to the shooting. After the shooting, he continued to make posts on social media.
Although it is unclear who Leach is speaking of, he certainly made his feelings known.
