U.S. President Joe Biden stated that the United States would support Israel and assist them in combating the Iranian-backed terrorist group. However, Republicans in the House and Senate are criticizing the Biden administration for unfreezing $6 billion of Iranian assets as part of a prisoner swap deal a couple of weeks ago. Insinuating that the funds could be used to fund the Iranian-backed terrorist group.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that Israel was “at war” and vowed that the attackers would face “an unprecedented price.”
Iran is a well-known supporter of Hamas and has praised the attacks on Israel that occurred on Saturday. The State Department has previously stated that Iran provides approximately $100 million per year to Palestinian armed groups, such as Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
In a televised remark, Joe Biden spoke about Israel and said, “We will not ever fail to have her back,” as he condemned the attack.

“I made clear to Prime Minister Netanyahu that we stand ready to offer all appropriate means of support to the government and people of Israel,” Biden said in a written statement issued after speaking with the prime minister.
Joe Biden warned other nations that may have issues with Israel not to exploit these terrorist attacks for their ownadvantage.
Israel has a right to defend itself and its people – full stop, he said. Â Let me say this as clearly as I can. This is not a moment for any party hostile to Israel to exploit these attacks to seek advantage. The world is watching.
Horrific videos posted across social media show the violence currently happening in Israel. Over 2,500 rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of at least 250 Israelis and leaving over 1,590 wounded. 230 Palestinians were reportedly killed.
