The mother and father of an 8-year-old boy in Houston have been found dead inside their home. Houston police discovered the bodies after the parents failed to pick up their child from school.
According to KHOU-TV, officers conducted a welfare check at the Texas home on Tuesday because the boy’s parents failed to pick him up after school. Police said they ‘saw something that led them to believe the circumstances inside the house were dangerous,’ stated Houston Police Lt. Larry Crowson.

Crowson said that when officers entered the home, they found a crazy scene and believe that the deaths were a result of a murder-suicide.
Inside the home, officers found the 34-year-old mother dead from blunt force trauma in the dining room, while the 54-year-old man was found hanging in the game room, according to the police.
The parents’ identities have not yet been released, and the police say that the 8-year-old is in the custody of Child Protective Services.
