Lenoir County Arson Suspect Charles Sutton Wanted For Attempted Murder In House Fire
Authorities in North Carolina are on the hunt for a Lenoir County arson suspect accused of setting a house on fire and attempting to kill the occupants. The suspect, 51-year-old Charles Edward Sutton, is wanted for first-degree arson and attempted first-degree murder following a suspicious house fire in La Grange early Monday morning.
Deputies with the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched around 1:00 a.m. on May 5 to a residence on West King Street, where they found a home engulfed in flames. After a thorough investigation, officials confirmed the fire was intentionally set and immediately issued arrest warrants for Sutton.
