Share

Pitt County Board of Commissioners has issued a two-week shelter-in-place order for residents, according to Senator Don Davis.

Essential services will continue, and the order will go into effect Wednesday at 5 p.m., according to Davis’ Facebook post.

The order comes after Vidant Health CEO Dr. Michael Waldrum expressed concerns about the potential need for hospital bed space during the Coronavirus pandemic.
