CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Aysia Banks, who was reported missing from the Charlotte area earlier this month, has been found safe, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
CMPD confirmed to The North Carolina Beat that Aysia was located unharmed in a nearby county with a family member.
Aysia had initially been reported missing after she was last seen around 1:00 a.m. on Clooney Lane in Charlotte on April 15, 2026. Her family described her disappearance as completely out of character.
Her disappearance gained attention online, with many sharing her information in hopes of bringing her home safely.
While no additional details have been released about the circumstances surrounding where she was found, officials say she is safe.
