U.S. Army Spc. Sayveon Anderson, a 25-year-old active-duty soldier assigned to Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, North Carolina, has been missing since June 29, 2026. He failed to report for morning formation that day and has not been seen or heard from since.

The disappearance of the ammunition stock controller with the 8th Ordnance Company, 3rd Corps Sustainment Command, has left loved ones in Charlottesville, Virginia, and the Fayetteville community deeply concerned as the search continues.

Sayveon Anderson, originally from Charlottesville, Virginia, graduated from Charlottesville High School in 2019. He joined the U.S. Army around 2020 seeking direction and purpose. Stationed at Fort Bragg since January 2021, he served as an ammunition stock controller.

Anderson is married to Jasmyne Mowry. The couple wed in December 2025 and learned they were expecting their first child — a baby girl — that same month. Mowry, who moved to the Fayetteville area in March 2026, is now nine months pregnant and due in August. Family members describe Anderson as a devoted husband and soon-to-be father who was looking forward to his daughter’s arrival.

Jasmyne is currently nine months pregnant with their first child, a baby girl due in August 2026. The couple has been pleading for Sayveon’s safe return.

Here’s what is known publicly so far. On June 23, 2026,  Anderson was last seen by his wife at their home in Fayetteville. He left with other soldiers, believed to be heading back to Fort Bragg.

On June 25, 2026, he was arrested at a Comfort Inn on Skibo Road in Fayetteville and charged with second-degree trespassing and resisting arrest after refusing to leave a room following a declined payment. He was released the next day on bond to an Army first sergeant and reportedly restricted to the barracks.

On June 27, 2026, his mother, Pamela Anderson, last spoke with him. Family members have reported no further phone or bank card activity since around this time.

On June 29, 2026, Anderson was last confirmed seen on the Fort Bragg installation around 6 a.m. He failed to report for required morning formation.

On July 1, 2026, he was initially listed as absent without leave (AWOL). The case has since been treated as an active missing person investigation.

Anderson’s family is pleading for the public’s help in bringing him home safely — ideally before his daughter’s birth.

His mother, Pamela, said in a social media post that she had hoped he would return within days.

“After continued communication with military police and his sergeants, a missing persons report has been filed, and we are now asking for the public’s help while we continue to pray for his safe return,” she said.

His sister, Shicora Anderson, added:

“Our family is doing everything we can to find answers and bring him home. We love you, Sayveon. There is nothing your family would not do for you and we are going to keep looking, keep praying, and keep fighting until we bring you home baby!”

His wife, Jasmyne, has spoken openly about the mental health struggles Anderson faced in the months leading up to his disappearance. She said he had been under significant pressure and was talking about getting help to be there for their daughter.

“Even on the 28th, he was talking about getting help and how he wanted to be there for our daughter,” Mowry stated.

“I love him a lot, and I know he loves our daughter. He is loved, and I want him to come back… If he’s reading anything that’s out there, I want him to know we can get help and this is not the end.”

Family members have described the disappearance as completely out of character and expressed worry that he may be struggling and in need of support rather than in danger from others.

The Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID) is leading the investigation in coordination with local law enforcement agencies, including the Fort Bragg Provost Marshal’s Office.

A missing person notice has been issued, and Fort Bragg’s 3rd Corps Sustainment Command is cooperating fully with authorities.
