A Jacksonville, North Carolina, lawyer is facing criminal charges after things allegedly turned physical during a dispute with the mother of his child.
According to warrants reviewed by The North Carolina Beat, 36-year-old Casey Starling, an attorney with Starling Law Firm, PLLC, on Henderson Drive in Jacksonville, was arrested Wednesday and charged with misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.
Authorities say the alleged incident happened Tuesday, May 19.
Court records claim Starling allegedly grabbed the woman’s left forearm, causing visible bruising during the confrontation. The warrants also accuse him of threatening to throw her into a pool during the dispute.
After being taken into custody, Starling was issued a $500 unsecured bond and later released.
He is expected to appear in court on June 15, 2026.
