Alexandria Parker, a 12-year-old girl from Onslow County, was last seen Monday afternoon near Turkey Point Road in Sneads Ferry.
ONSLOW COUNTY, N.C. — A search is underway in eastern North Carolina after a 12-year-old girl reportedly vanished.
Authorities say Alexandria Parker, 12, was last seen around 3:30 p.m. Monday near Turkey Point Road in Sneads Ferry, according to the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials say the young girl was wearing black leggings and a light blue hoodie at the time she disappeared — and no one knows which direction she went.
Parker was reportedly last spotted at a school bus stop, a detail first shared in the local Facebook group Sneads Ferry Village News by a user identified as Tim Supple.

As the sun went down Monday night, concern quickly turned into action.
A search party of local residents hit the ground late Monday, combing through areas near the Turkey Creek boat access, hoping to find any sign of the missing child.

Meanwhile, the sheriff’s office has officially classified Parker as a runaway, but the situation remains tense as the community waits for answers.

No additional details have been released about what may have led up to her disappearance.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to call the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office immediately at 910-455-3113 and ask for Detective J. Spikes.
