Wilmington NC stabbings broke out minutes apart on Front Street early Sunday morning as a viral video captures the aftermath and a bystander helping an injured victim.
WILMINGTON, N.C. — A shocking video out of downtown Wilmington is going viral — showing a man bleeding from a stab wound near his neck as a bystander jumps into action as police appear overwhelmed at the scene.
The footage, now circulating online, captures a disturbing moment that a man is visibly injured, surrounded by confusion, before a quick-thinking bystander removes his own shirt and presses it against the victim’s wound in an attempt to stop the bleeding.

Meanwhile, officers with the Wilmington Police Department can be seen on scene as the situation unfolded.
TWO STABBINGS — JUST TWO MINUTES APART
According to Wilmington PD, the stabbings wasn’t limited to just one incident.
Authorities say the first stabbing happened around 2:10 a.m. on April 5 in the 100 block of North Front Street, right in the heart of downtown nightlife. Officers responded to reports of a large fight and discovered two adult men suffering from stab wounds.
Both victims were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
But just two minutes later, a second stabbing was reported around 2:12 a.m. in the 0 block of North Front Street — just steps away.
This time, police found an adult woman suffering from stab wounds. She was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to officials.
POLICE SAY INCIDENTS ARE “UNRELATED”
Despite the timing and close proximity, the Wilmington Police Department says the two stabbings are believed to be separate and isolated incidents.
So far, no names have been released, and it’s unclear if any suspects have been taken into custody.
Both cases remain under active investigation.
