18-Year-Old Jonathan Hatchell Arrested for Murder of 50-year-old Hope Mills Man

Cumberland County deputies have arrested 18-year-old Jonathan Hatchell in connection with the murder of 50-year-old Johnny Fisher of Hope Mills, North Carolina.

Johnny Fisher, a 50-year-old resident of Hope Mills, NC, was tragically found dead in his home during a well-being check. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding his murder.

According to authorities, the incident happened early Thursday morning when deputies responded to a well-being check at 5646 Medicus Lane around 12:45 a.m. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered Fisher dead at the scene.

Details regarding the nature of the relationship, if any, between Hatchell and Fisher remain unclear. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether the incident was an act of random violence or if there were prior connections between the two individuals.

Jonathan Hatchell, an 18-year-old from Cumberland County, has been arrested and charged with the murder of Johnny Fisher. He is currently being held without bond as the investigation continues.
