Wilmington, North Carolina woman was detained and handcuffed by man posing as cop

Police in Wilmington, North Carolina, is looking for a man they say detained a woman, handcuffed her, and took down her personal information.

In a press release, police say the woman was walking on a local street Sunday when an unidentified man driving a Dodge Charger pulled up and said he was investigating a robbery.

The man is said to have been wearing a ballistic vest with the word “POLICE” on the front.

When the woman refused to give the man information about her, he handcuffed her, took her information down, and left.

The woman was not hurt in the process.
