Percy & Willie’s in Florence, SC Goes Viral For Kicking Out Food Critic
FLORENCE, SC – A food review at the newly reopened Percy & Willie’s in Florence, South Carolina, turned into absolute mayhem when food critic Ben A Critic claims the owner and manager repeatedly touched, leaned on and pushed him — even after he begged them to stop “30,000 times.”
The confrontation, captured that’s now exploding across social media, shows the tiny reviewer (who says he only weighs “100 something pounds”) screaming “Don’t touch me!” as larger white men surround him inside the popular Florence restaurant at 130 Dunbarton Drive.
Ben, known for his no-holds-barred restaurant review videos, walked into Percy & Willie’s Food and Spirits just wanting to try the baby back ribs and give his honest take. He ordered, filmed the “pretty clean” restroom, and was vibing — until the manager suddenly demanded he come to the front door.
“I’m the manager. Please come to the front door,” the man says in the clip.
Ben asks why. That’s when everything escalated.
“We don’t allow videoing in here,” the manager tells him, demanding he leave immediately.
Ben says back that he would have stopped filming instantly if they had just asked nicely:
“All you had to say is no video and I would have stopped videoing. Why would you have to kick me out?”
But instead of a calm conversation, Ben says the owner and manager started touching and pushing him with their bodies. In the video he narrates:
“This right here, a picture of the owner of Percy and Willies grabbing on me after I asked him not to touch me 30,000 times. Him and the manager got a touching problem… Look at him leaning on me, pushing me with his stomach.”
He adds:
“I felt very uncomfortable in this situation. I was surrounded by a lot of angry men and they all had pocket knives. Not to mention, they kept touching me.”
Things got even wilder when the owner allegedly called the police and claimed Ben assaulted him.
“Did y’all just hear the owner of Percy and Willies lying to the police? Ain’t nobody assault you, boy… That’s how innocent people get locked up right there. If I didn’t have my own evidence, he would have swore up and down I hit him,” Ben Acritic said.

Go search up how many white food critics have filmed inside that restaurant and has NEVER been asked to leave for filming.
Also, this restaurant just re-opened a few weeks ago after being closed for 5 years and I’m not even a little surprised that the owner is trying to do the same exact racist stuff he did years ago.
Also, I’m white. The owner is KNOWN to be a racist and part of the KKK. Nothing new here. DON’T GO TO PERCY & WILLIE’s OR YOU ARE SUPPORTING A RACIST.
The fatigue is real. I’m tired of people like him crying racism.
Good. They should kick him out for acting like that.
YOU do not want to go there period. BAD
Everyone in that restaurant should have walked out upon seeing the undeniable racism taking place. I applaud this young man for the self control he showed; That tells us a lot about his character. It’s hard to maintain self control when you’re dealing with blatant racism . There’s no way that I would ever support that establishment.
I’m so tired of black people acting like this and crying racism.
lol. How do you think black people feel. Ridiculous.
It’s actually unreal how they did that to him. Something straight out of Jim Crow.
They let white people go in and film food reviews…
Why the hell is that shit a*s place still open. Its a racists restaurant. Why are people give that place 4 stars . if the customer service, Management and owner are pieces of shitty. Needs to be looked into very closely.
Racism is still terrible! He lied to police to have that man arrested. If it where just a regular guy it could have ended terribly
