A video shows the shooting outside of Hip Hop Rapper Yo Gotti’s restaurant in Memphis, Tennessee that left two dead and five wounded.
According to police, the shooting happened Wednesday at Prive restaurant just after it closed.
Upon arrival, police found two men on the ground; one was pronounced dead, and the other was taken to the hospital, where he later died due to his injuries.
Officials say five others, four men and a woman, were transported to the hospital in private vehicles.
An attorney representing the Prive restaurant said they are devastated.
On behalf of Prive, they’ve been in business for 10 years, and nothing like this has ever happened at their establishment, attorney Arthur Horne said.
According to Horne, the altercation started between two groups of men and denied it beginning in the restaurant, as authorities said.
However, video footage contradicts Horne’s statement that the altercation did not start inside the restaurant when it did.
He said it happened out in the parking lot and ended up in a shootout.
Nothing happened inside the restaurant. Despite any conflicting reports, they were closing, and this happened at the end of the evening in the parking lot.
