Word on the curb… A video is circulating of what appears to be an old sermon by Thomas Dexter Jakes, professionally known as Bishop T.D. Jakes, who is preaching a sermon about Adam and Eve when he makes a wild claim, but then tries to take it back and claims it as a “joke.”
Seems like the joke have come to light amid allegations that Bishop T.D. Jakes is a homosexual pastor, and this new video doesn’t help the pastor who has been accused of attending parties with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, professionally known as Diddy. Bishop Jakes has faced significant scrutiny over the past week following the viral spread of a TikTok video alleging that he was a “power bottom” and had coerced a young person into performing a sexual act.
Not only that, but popular church blogger William G. McCray III of Obnoxious Television alleged that one of Bishop Jakes security guards, Tyrone, reportedly showed him photos of Bishop Jakes allegedly in a thong with a peach cobbler and another photo that allegedly shows the Dallas pastor on a motorcycle he reportedly purchased for the security guard, “chest down” and butt tooted in the air.
At church on Sunday, Bishop Jakes stated that he would not address the rumors and referred to them as lies. This new video raises questions about the activities Bishop Jakes may have been involved in. It is unusual for a Bishop at his level to joke from the pulpit about being okay with having intercourse with the same gender.

In the video, Bishop T.D. Jakes is preaching to his congregation about the idea that “what you’re not good at is what you should be attracted to.” In his message, he discussed how God instructed Eve to go to Adam because he possessed something she did not. Bishop Jakes continued, saying, “Y’all get together; you can work this thing out.”
“But you’ll never be fruitful running around with somebody who’s got what you got,” Bishop Jakes said in his message.
The bishop paused as his congregation, with itching ears, clapped. Then he lost me when he said:
“I’m not saying you can’t have no fun but you sure can’t be fruitful,” he said.
After knowing that people were going to be uneasy about Bishop Jakes essentially endorsing homosexuality in the pulpit, he quickly clarified that it was a joke.
