A Columbus, Ohio mother international vacation turned into a customs nightmare. Tye Kieonne claims she was arrested for bringing more than 5 grams of marijuana into the country — and now she’s facing a massive $75,000 bill or potentially 4+ years in a Bali jail.

In her emotional Facebook post that’s racked up thousands of reactions, she wrote:
“Hey yall!!! I love yall!!! Nobody is scamming. I made a mistake not researching and took the wrong thing in my suitcase to Bali. I was arrested and I can’t come home until I pay $75,000!!! And I only have til Monday to pay $30,000 of it or I will be stuck over here 4+ years!!! If I get the money, I can do rehab here for 3 months and come home!!! Please Please Please!!! I’m begging yall to get me home to my babies!!!”
Tye Kieonne Bali Arrest: Birthday Trip Turns into Customs Hell
According to posts from her mother, Abathia Teage, the group was in Bali celebrating her 50th birthday and a friend’s 40th. They were detained at customs upon arrival. The mother and another traveler were released, but Tye remains in custody.
A GoFundMe titled “Support Tyeisha to Avoid Jail in Bali” (organized by Joshua Murphy) is raising funds.
