FIRST LOVE, FIRST EXPERIENCE… AND A WHOLE LOTTA FEELINGS

In her own words, rapper “BIG TRAPA” whose real name is I’Yair Wilson described this man as her first real experience with a man, saying he was “very cool, very nice, supportive and consistent.”

But here’s where it gets interesting. Trapa says when they first started talking, she had NO idea what he would eventually become.

At the time, he would talk about owning a food truck and business, but she admits she didn’t take it seriously and thought he was just talking.

Now fast forward…that same man is now reportedly a successful food business owner in Raleigh after coming from Durham.

“HE WANTED THE VERSION OF ME I WASN’T READY TO BE”

Trapa revealed that one of the main reasons things didn’t work out is because he wanted her to step into a more “put together” image, which consisted of hair done, lashes, nails, and a full presentation.

But at the time, Trapa says she hadn’t fully stepped into who she was yet, and wasn’t ready to give that version of herself.

“I didn’t know who I was then.”

THE NAME DROP THAT GOT EVERYBODY LIKE….

Now despite Trapa saying she didn’t want to reveal too much…she still dropped a lil breadcrumb when she casually shouted out: the Dankery” twice.

Let’s be clear, this is her personal story and reflection — not accusations, not allegations of wrongdoing.

Just a transgender woman speaking on her growth, her journey into womanhood and identity, and a relationship that didn’t align at the time.

The North Carolina Beat reached out to “The Dankery” on Instagram back in February when we first received the video and spoke with the owner, Ian Burris.

Ian stated, “The story isn’t real, and I’ve never met that person in my life. I don’t have a side of the story.”
