Word On The Curb… pastor from North Carolina got himself in hot water recently. Clyde David Haywood, a 38-year-old pastor of Radical Praise Ministries in Laurinburg, was nabbed by the authorities for allegedly pocketing funds from his own church. The scandal unfolded when investigators discovered that Haywood was using Cash App to allegedly embezzle money from the church’s account.
The Multicultural church leader was apprehended at his residence on Monday following an investigation initiated by the Laurinburg Police Department in March.
The police, armed with warrants for financial and bank records, video evidence, and testimonies, were able to build a case against Haywood. Captain Chris Young revealed that the investigation was triggered by a tip-off about suspicious bank transactions.
Haywood found himself behind bars at the Scotland County Detention Center on a $4,000 bond. As for his current status, it remains a mystery whether he’s been released or not.Â
