Robin Deaton, a 52-year-old woman from North Carolina, has been arrested on charges of attempted murder and kidnapping after allegedly trapping her boyfriend inside a storage unit for four days without food or water, according to WBTV.
According to police reports, the incident took place on February 20, 2025, at the Cooper Storage facility in Monroe, North Carolina. Authorities say Deaton lured her boyfriend into the unit under false pretenses before locking him inside.

The victim, left in complete darkness, had no access to food or water. He managed to locate his phone on February 24 and called for help. Emergency responders arrived, rescuing him and transporting him to a local hospital for medical evaluation.
Monroe Police Lieutenant Morgan Malone described the storage unit as a “hoarder’s paradise,” with belongings stacked haphazardly. He emphasized that the victim’s life was at risk, as prolonged starvation, dehydration, or extreme temperatures could have been fatal.

Authorities arrested Robin Deaton on February 26 in Charlotte, charging her with attempted murder and first-degree kidnapping.
