North Carolina SBI Rules Death of Ervin Hakeem “Ervianna” Johnson as Homicide

The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) has officially classified the death of Ervin Hakeem “Ervianna” Johnson as a homicide. Johnson, a 25-year-old resident of Bermuda Bay near Tabor City, was reported missing on February 13, 2025. His body was discovered five days later, on February 18, near a pond several hundred yards from his home.

Preliminary autopsy results determined that Johnson’s death was not a suicide, prompting law enforcement to rule it as a homicide. However, specific details regarding the cause of death have not been disclosed. The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office launched a public appeal for information on February 17, after Johnson’s mother reported him missing.

Ervin Hakeem Johnson, known by the names “Ervianna” and “Baydee,” was a 25-year-old from North Carolina.

Reports indicate that Johnson was last seen around 3 a.m. on February 13, leaving his home without his phone, wallet, or bank cards.
