A confrontation Wednesday inside La Unica Meat Market in Middlesex has ended in an arrest of a man police repeatedly tased who was allegedly armed with a knife.
Authorities identified the suspect as Isaac Elisha Watson, who, according to police, exited his vehicle and walked toward the meat market despite multiple warnings to stop. Officers reportedly attempted to physically restrain Watson before he allegedly pushed an officer and entered the store.
Once inside, police deployed a Taser, causing Watson to fall to the ground. A press release stated that while on the ground, Watson ignored officers’ commands and appeared to reach under his poncho, prompting another Taser deployment.

Middlesex Police Chief Joe Amos defended his officer’s actions, citing that Watson had a dagger in his possession and refused to comply with orders.
“The officer tried to talk to him, get his attention, de-escalate, and stop him from entering the store,” Amos said. “The suspect refused to comply.”

He further explained that the suspect had a visible large fixed-blade dagger and continued to reach for it, forcing the officer to use the Taser again and kick the weapon away.
“Tasers operate on a five-second cycle,” Amos stated. “Once the cycle ends, there are no lingering effects preventing compliance. He continued to resist.”
The incident lasted approximately five minutes before Watson was taken into custody. Watson faces multiple charges, including expired vehicle inspection, driving while impaired, carrying a concealed weapon, and resisting a public officer.
